Has anyone any feed back on the new 2.5 lt D22 Navara. I have one and I can not tell the difference in power from the old 3 lt one and all the rest is just the same. But it uses a lot less fuel.

been in a friends new nav and i agree very little difference, a tad low but plenty of power

Heard a rumour that they are keeping the new engine but rereleasing the old body/chasis?? From some mechanics that generally are in the know. Anyone else heard this?

The engine is newer than the previous one but it is not the D40 motor.

It's a 2.5 Common Rail but not the same as it's newer brother. 98kw and 304NM, a backward step from the 3.0L it replaces.

Highway at 100 kph is 8.1 lts per 100 km and 110 kph is 8.5 lts per 100 km
Havent done off road yet.
My old 3 lt Navara averaged 10.5 lts per 100 km

I read that the new engine actually had 128kW and 403Nm?

I thought that was a pretty large jump considering the cubes got downgraded.

They're the correct figures for the 'new' Navara, but in the older shape it seems they have detuned the engine. Saw one yesterday and noticed they have a big scoop on the bonnet.

Cheers,

Mark.
