We are looking at buying a Goldstream Storm campervan for some travel in the outback. Does anyone have any info or experience with them on how good they are particularly with offroad use.

Hi Lod, I'm also interested in the STORM ! I've heard its the pick of the bunch, more robust than the others. As with all quality products comes a price, thats whats holding me back. IF A GROUP OF US GOT TOGETHER I'M SURE WE COULD DO A DEAL. What are your thoughts?

Goldstream do make an excellent product not advertised as heavily as jayco but when compared side by side have a superior finish.Things like upholstery, curtains, cabinets and fittings win hands down on the goldstream.I have the sovereign on road model which is the same size as the storm big and roomy, but the bigger they are the more you have to tow.Take a good hard look at the goldstar rv off road a better size to tow lighter weight and almostas roomy due to an improved floor plan. marcus

Thanks guys for your comments.I do agree having looked at both Goldstream and the Jayco the Goldie is definately the pick of the bunch.
The Goldie has better finishes all round.Have not checked out the goldstar layout but we loved the storm which was on display at a recent show. Will need to follow up on other layouts.
I DO LIKE THE IDEA OF GROUP PURCHASE.
WOULD GIVE SOME LEVERAGE IN GETTING A GOOD PACKAGE DEAL.
IF ANY ONE IS INTERESTED LET ME KNOW.
I KNOW SOMEONE ELSE WHO WOULD BE INTERESTED IF OTHERS WERE GENUINE
