Hi, I need to replace the clutch and fly wheel in my 1998 Patrol, the kits that I have looked at online don't appear to have the fly wheel included. Does anyone know who I should contact ?? Apparently I should go to a single mass fly wheel instead of the dual mass. Has anybody else done this replacement?

If it were an option, I wouldn't hesitate. You will then never have to worry about the future cost/trouble of the part price or labour. Did you get a parts price on both flywheels? .....cheers ...silverback

Why don't you just have the one you have machined ?

Cheers Steve.

Mr Ugo

Just had the clutch and flywheel replaced in my 98 GU 2.8 - got the Exeddy Kit from REPCO - clutch and solid mass flywheel. You may find somewhere to machine your dual mass flywheel but these places are few an far between. In any event my problem wasn't the face of the flywheel but the sludge that should have been oil that forms the second 'mass'. NVH is a bit worse with a solid mass flywheel but overall works like a charm.

Google 'exedy safari'. The kit is supplied with a flywheel.

Cannot/should not machine a dual mass flywheel, they are a throw away unit.
