TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST
SEVERE WEATHER WARNING
for Locally Destructive Winds
For people in the Lower West, Southwest and adjacent parts of the South Coastal
District, including the Perth Metropolitan area, Mandurah, Bunbury and
Busselton.
Issued at 3:50 pm on Wednesday 21 May 2008

The passage of a cold front across the region early Thursday morning is expected
to cause squally conditions and may produce locally destructive winds in excess
of 125 kilometres per hour that could result in significant damage or
destruction of property. Thunderstorms and locally heavy rainfall are also
possible.
The FESA - State Emergency Service advises that people should secure loose items
and stay indoors when strong winds develop. Boat owners should ensure that small
craft are securely moored. Driving conditions will be hazardous.

The next warning will be issued by 10:00 pm Wednesday

This warning is also available through TV and Radio broadcasts; the Bureau's
website at www.bom.gov.au or call 1300 659 213.

No wucka's mate,,,,,missed the news myself. Swmbo told me when i got home. Had a bopeep at the Met site and saw the warning. Went straight out and put the camper away,,,nothing better i reckon than watching it blow away.....not.....lol
