Expensive!!! But what else are you going to do. You can't expect them to discount on Tuesdays. You can usually expect Oodnadatta to be about 10 cents a litre cheaper than the ripoff at Marla and Mt.Dare to be about the same as Marla.

As an example, over Christmas diesel was $1.80 + at Coober Pedy. As that is about the current metro area price, I would imagine that another 20 - 50 cents per litre wouldn't be out of the ordinary or even more at isolated locations. Just make sure that you take plenty of shopper vouchers with you - you might be able to convince someone that they are 'worth something'.
