Caravan & Camper Battery Charging

Our modern lifestyle and need for electric and electronic products to accompany us on holidays and on our travels has brought us to have independent power in our caravans and campers when away from

I have heard you should not have lead acid batteries inside a caravan as the fumes emitted from these batteries are dangerous..
Our van has 4 sealed lead acid batteries, 3 for the fridge and one for everything else.
Are sealed lead acid batteries okay, or should I enclose these and vent them to the outside.
I assume because they are sealed they are safe.

Pretty safe Brendan

If badly mistreated they can emit gases and have a pressure valve inside them and it can let gases out , but as I say only if mistreated.

It is wise though to ensure that the battery area can vent to outside the caravan.
