Has anyone fitted a steel bullbar to the Landcruiser 100 Series TD with the independant front suspension? I had the alloy bar fitted from Toyota and after a recent mishap in the carpark, I will need the bullbar replaced. The ARB bar is cheaper than the Toyota alloy bar. I am a bit concerned because the vehicle is already pretty low at the front. Now with the third battery and compressor, I am concerned the weight may be too much. ARB certainly recommends the Steel bar for the 100 series TD. I saw a recent 4WD mag which had a multi vehicle desert trek (I think led by Ron and Viv Moon) with three 100 series TD, all with steel bullbars. Can the front be raised safely with the independant front suspension? Has anyone changed their front suspension to aftermarket IFS? Thanks.
