Hi. Could anyone give me an idea where to buy engine mountings for a Land Rover Freelander for a decent price? Thanks, Mike

Venusopal,
Try
All Four x 4 Spares at Kotara,
Newcastle.
They will mail order to anywhere in Australia.
Cheers,
Cruiser

As a confirmed Land Rover owner, I have found that it is often cheaper to have the parts sent direct to you from UK.
A friend of
mine has a 300td Defender and recently needed new injectors.
Price ex
Perth WA $150.00 each, total $600.00.
Price ex UK $75.00ea, total $300.00 plus $50 postage and on hand in under 2 weeks.
There are a number of aftermarket suppliers in the UK.
Here is where google is your friend.
Try googling "
John Craddock" and/or "Paddock Spares" or even LandRover Parts in UK. You might be surprised at the difference compared with Aust prices.
I know I was.
It may also be worth talking to
places like Repco and other major parts suppliers.
Don't even think of Supercheap type stores as they only deal with the ordinary common motor cars (Ford,Commodore, and the Asian stuff.
Good Hunting
Disco.

Hi mate,
When I had my old Disco, I got a lot of my spares from this mob. They are know as "British Offroad" They had good prices and great delivery service. Call them on Ph: 07 5445 1094 or their website
http://www.britishoffroad.com/default.htm
Good luck and I hope your wallet survives!!!!

All of the above Australian suppliers are good - British 4wd is probably the best. However for some bits the dealer is often good with Freelander parts - recently bought a top radiator hose and the dealer was a good 40% cheaper - however on other parts that can be very expensive.
