In Post 57904 I asked a question about a Fuel saver that some "University Professor" was plugging on talk back radio in Perth - A Forum visitor has provided me with the product details.

Here is a quote from their Web:

"The Fuel Saver has the ability to change three areas within the spectrum of gasoline by absorbing the CH (Benzene) of saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbon. According to the university research papers, the ceramics absorb the thermal energy from their surrounding environment then release it in a specific wavelength, breaking the intermolecular van der Waals force (the force that binds molecules) between the gasoline molecules. This results in the change of aggregation of gasoline molecules from 'cluster' to 'single molecule'. This changes several properties of the gasoline, such as surface tension and flash point. The surface tension is decreased, resulting in better atomization (smaller droplets) of the fuel, which provides a greater surface area to make contact with air, leading to far greater fuel efficiency. This in turn increases horsepower, reduces fuel consumption, reduces carbon build-up and reduces toxic and greenhouse exhaust emissions.

In summary, we restructure the environment for the fuel, water and air within the vehicle's operating system, to thereby deliver more kilometers per liter, reduce dangerous exhaust pollutants and most importantly, lower harmful greenhouse gases"

So who wants to know the name of the product and the web site?

Yes, I'm interested.

Sooner or later someone will come up with one of these mysterious devices that actually works. That's called scientific research. This may just be the one, who knows?

Jim.

In the past people did not believe the Earth could be round. They were wrong. Some didn't believe we could put man into space. They were wrong. There have been many instances where the disbelievers were proved wrong. There will be more. Could this be one of them? No harm in looking so I'm interested Trekkie.

Sorry Trekkie;
I'll save you the trouble with posting the website.

Gobbldygook in the name of science

Over 40 years as an industrial chemist in the oil industry, and they still try to pass off these things.

The statement "Breaking the van der waals" between gasoline molecules just shows how silly they think we all are. In gaseous and liquid states the intermolecular force is broken and reformed continuosuly as it is a transient binding energy caused by the electron spin in the atom.
You would not want to touch this thing if it could do what is claimed-- any organic substance including humans would fly apart into single molecules. ----Scence fiction at its best LOL

Can you give me the website, and the one for the Fitch, Hiclone, and electric turbo as well.

I look forward to spending huge sums of money for absolutely no gain.

As all of these different things claim about 20% better fuel efficiency I intend to fit 6 of them and tow a tanker to store the 20% of fuel they will generate for me.

Bushtrek - you get the prize - but not exactly the site being talked about on Parth radio

No Good Bad and Ugly

What does interst me is the number of views a thread such as this gets read. Have a look at other threads relating to Fuel - usually over 500 hits per thread

Who knows one day one might work
