Does anyone have any experience with a Grand Cherokee ABS warning light ? My 96 model with only 150,000 km ABS dash warning light won't clear & I can't get it through rego. The dealer says it needs a $5,000 ABS pump but I don't know how a car this new would need such a major part. I don't trust him. Any ideas on where I could get better advice ?

unplug the dash light get it through rego and get some time.
then find someone with an OBD II scanner and get the codes
that will help diagnosing the problem.
good luck

My sidekick at work has one with the same problem, his is the ABS module, which you can buy for about $800 change over.initially the diagnosis was a rear sensor but changing it didnt fix it.you dont have to buy the whole assembly.cheers Paul
