Hi Damian,

Just did the survey. Not sure if I qualify, being an advertiser, but it let me do it. Couple of comments:

. It asks for your country, then on the next page asks you to choose one of the Australian states??

. Found the occupation list very limiting. "Engineering & Construction" seems like an obvious omission that exists on many similar lists. Also nothing that adequately covers the whole automotive sector - "Transport & Storage" doesn't seem quite right but, lacking anything else, that's what I had to choose to cover my Thermoguard activities. I could have chosen "Mining" as I've done a lot of work in that industry over the years but I've also done engineering in the Chemical, Agricultural, and Food industries.

. No question about what parts of ExplorOz the ‘surveyee uses’. I rarely look at anything except the Forum, so my comments on the site relate only to the Forum, not the whole site - but you'd never know that 'cause the survey never asked...

. Also disliked having to choose only one of the types of Oz travel, i.e. Inland, or Costal, or High country, etc. What about we that like just about all destinations (except Capital cities!).

.Similar complaint about the preferred mode of accommodation. Yes, we predominantly use commercial caravan parks on our travels but we also often use many of the other types mentioned (bush camping. National Parks, other campgrounds) as appropriate to the location and our current plans.

I think you would obtain more useful information from your readers with a better designed survey. Hope you appreciate this as constructive criticism.
