We are planning our trip to
Alice Springs leaving
Adelaide 12/7/03, travelling via Oodanadatta Track, Dalhousie, Mnt Dare to Allambi, where we would like to know if we can turn left on a track shown on some maps to Deep
Well, to access
Chambers Pillars instead of continuing to
Alice Springs via Santa Teresa. Has anyone travelled this track recently? we would be appreciate any advice and helpful hints. M & M.

I doubt whether you will get access to Deep
Well Station which is owned by the Hayes Family. Best bet is to give them a ring to find out. In the past they have not been too keen on people crosssing their property and I speak from personal experience.Cheers, Willem

Further to my comments above. I have had a look at the map and see that the track that you may be talking about is part of the Phillipson Stock Route. Maybe if you give Allambi Station a call you may find out what the status of the stock route is. It may
well be a through road.Cheers, Willem
