Hi all - Just a quick thread to say we are in Charters Towers & the Dalrymple Tourist Park is breath of fresh air. The amenities are clean & tidy, the
camp kitchen is
well stocked & the scones & jam on Tuesday & Thursday mornings are just a treat lol not to mention the reasonable site fee's.
Next stop Magnetic Island.
Cheers & Happy Travels
Jason

Jason,
ChartersTowers is a lovely, historical, old city. Glad to hear that you're enjoying your trek around. If you have time to go out to
Ravenswood and the Burdekin
Dam I think you'd enjoy that side trip on the way to Townsville.
Make sure you go up to the look out while in Townsville too, it's a magnificent view from up there. Enjoy Magnetic Island.
Best wishes
Viv

Hi Jason
Yes it is a nice little van park, I managed the park for a few weeks, for the previous owners, so they could take a holiday themselves.
There is plenty to see and do in the area.
Enjoy your trip.
Regards
Neil

Thanks Neil - Jode & I ran a CP in WA for 2 years (before we started our Internet Businesses) so we can appreciate the effort that goes into running one.
Cheers

While touring to Townsville from CT there is a
mountain lookout to your left on the way - a hard climb for the rig (but all sealed) - a fabulous view of the region. The
lookout in the town centre is great too. The esplanade playgrounds along the coast in front of Magnetic Island blew us away ! Never seen such extensive free amenities for families. The tropical Acquarium with real coral, real waves and clownfish in the town centre was great too.

That would be Mt Stuart just outside
Townsville residential boundaries.
