When we went up last year we picked up our meat from the butcher at
Mossman opposite the hardware store opposite the pub. Great selection , service and reasonably priced.

Hi
We are going to the Cape in August and will be taking our meat
from our butcher who will cryovac it for us, we do that for each
trip usually plan for about 20 meals on a 5 week trip as we also
like to eat out at the pubs along the way. We do not take any
chicken or meat that has bones. When are you going to the
Cape we might meet up along the way, there will be 2 vehicles Silver Nissan Patrol with EO wheel cover and sticker on the back
of the camper, Brown Toyota 60 series and camper. 9 weeks
3 days to go!!!!! Enjoy and safe travels

If you were really sharp ...!! ...you would really not take much meat with you ..a couple of meals of meat, once a week is enough and you can take that easily ..then the rest is dry food and tins..but if you must pig out on the bbq each night...just tow a small freezer ..that beats cryovac any day ..

back in 2006 we got some steaks from the butcher
shop in
Weipa and they were great, had them for dinner that night and were so good we went back and got 2 more the next day. we ate them at pennefeather river and they were actually nicer then the previous ones, we went to get some more on our return from pennefeather river but it was saturday and the butcher
shop had closed before we got there, only open until midday, wasn't happy.
