Hi all, can I please get some feed back on Terra Trac Radial A/W. My brother-in-law has them & says they are hard & a little slippery in the wet but he gets around 90,000km out of them.
I'm looking for a descent tyre without having to sell the wife to get them lol
Cheers
Jason

65000k and still going strong.
They've seen a good few trips incl.
Cape York. (touch wood) no flats, punctures or dramas.
No probs. in most conditions. A bit slippery in clayey type mud.
OK on wet blacktop- and boy are the roads wet around here at the moment.

Had them on a rodeo, once it was a little slippery they wouldn't pull the skin of a rice pudding, for dry tracks and roads they are fine.

Staked a tire near Moomba on the Strezleki bout 5 weeks ago , after plugging and reinflation found that tire had a hernia on the sidewall ,, cut along story short we did a "detour" to PortAugusta ,, bought 2 new tires , TerraTracRadial A/W [hercules] 31x10.50R15 $179 ea ,,,,,was advised/told that it is now the tire of choice for the mines ,, but get this ,,,run them HARD on the dirt ,no less than 38 psi ,,, have since done RoxbyDowns to the
Oodnadatta track to
Marla to AyersRock to Alice via the Meeneenie loop to
Halls Creek via
the Tanami track to
Broome and am now bush camped on the beach at
Quandong Point ,, still at 38psi ,no sign of wear ,no sign of chipping ,,,,,, if its good enough for the mines its good enough for me ,,,,,, and just as an adjunct for those who say to let the pressure down ,, a couple from Victoria whom we met on the Tanami did 3 tires on their c/t at 24psi ,, all shredded beyond repair before they could stop, all 3 BFG 1/3 worn.

Jason,
We have had them on an 80 series for about 18 months, & have done maybe 25K ckicks. No apparent wear, and they haven't started to chip like BFG AT's do.
At the price, I'll be buying them again, less than $800 for 4.
Hooroo,
Bob.

Kidman stations run them on alot of their tray tops out west so can't be too bad.
I haven't had them but alot of my customers run them and love them. I will be giving them a try next time.
