Hi all
How quick is this year going ?...
I was woundering if any 1 out there has a GQ with alloy bullbar with winch fitted as i was interested in how the mounting bracket for the winch looked as local 4x4 place could not show pix of it and i was not paying $300 just to see it and if it would even fit my bar as Im not sure what brand of bar it is ,it has cut out for winch and is 6mm thick and alloy, I now have in mind to make my own cradle if i have too??

Generally you don't fit a winch to an alloy bar. Not strong enough. The Nissan "genuine" bars (made by TJM) fitted as an option only have the capacity for a winch if the bar is steel. I have seen a winch fitted to an alloy bar though and the owner had braced the winch back to the chassis using steel brackets to transfer the load imposed by the winch direct back to chassis rather than through the alloy bar.
