I dropped in there about 12 months ago now, just for a look and thought the park was average to adequate but I never stayed there just looking. Rules Beach reminded me of
Rainbow, 25 years ago.....bloody beautiful. Looks like nice camping to the south end of
the beach, so I definately would not stay in the park unless I was towing my van, it would be a
beach camp for me anytime.
I hope you enjoy your stay. Not sure of sandfly situation up there but there is a creek at the back of the park so it may be worth taking the Aerogard???
Regards, Trevor.

We decided to go to the park this time as we need a break from the real of the beatten track camping. We have been very busy and just need to unwind for a week or two.
Our last trek in sept 2007 was a very busy one we went to the cape and back in three weeks. Not many nights in one spot and returned to work day after our return.
So this a recharge of batteries, but in saying this if we find it not to our liking, we would move to a more of the beatten track ,no facilities situation, just for the sheer fact we don't generally like to
camp in parks.
We will have a pleasant time either way as camping and treking is our life even though our commitments are high at the moment and do get out as often as we would like.
Thankyou for your opinion we hope to let people know wha it is like on our return.
Regards

Stayed there at
Easter 08, Park is average but good, if you are up the office end the amenities are reasonably new, you can get takeaway and pizza for tea if ordered, good size
camp kitchen,
boat ramp, we would not hesitate to go back. there is a
campground north of
the beach entrance but we didn't go up there as
the beach was very soft and we were on our own, but on a whole deffinatly your fault if you go there and don't enjoy youself.
Cheers RosscoH

Hi troopytek
I was up there last Friday, didn't stay in the park just lookin around.
There is very little beach left in either direction at Rules. I doubt you will be able to get to either the Baffle creek mouth or
Mitchell reserve to the north. The waves were breaking right at the base of the access track about 2 hours after low tide.
Deep Water was fine when we went through if your looking to head to seventeen seventy.
Hope that help, Regards Scott
