Have just purchased an Asus A696 GPS and CoPilot 7 software but I cannot get the CoPilot software to work!

After numerous emails between myself and CoPilot, we seem no closer to a solution. CoPilot loads then freezes, causing a Microsoft error: "We're sorry. A problem has occurred with copilot.exe".

Has anyone had any experiences with either the Asus or CoPilot that may be able to offer some advice?

Thanks,

PeterF.

Suggest u uninstall and reinstall the Copilot software. Sometimes can fix problems like that.
Presumably you have initialised it etc.
I thought there is a later version than 7 out for PDA .
Version 11 is due out for laptop shortly

Thanks Graham,

I have uninstalled and reinstalled CoPilot many times. A check of their web site reveals that CoPilot 7 is the latest for the PDA (Windows Mobile/CE), CoPilot 11 is for the laptop only.

Anyway, I'll keep trying.

Thanks,

Richard,

Thanks for the link, most interesting reading! Perhaps I have purchased the wrong software as I have yet to get it working despite numerous emails between me and the support staff (Ozzie).

Thanks Rob.

This link had similar info to that supplied by the CoPilot support blokes, but still my problems persist.

Oh well, back to the basics.

Peter,

I recently bought an ASUS A696 and loaded Co Pilot 7 myself, had similiar problems. Was able to work through them and now I'm very happy with the PDA and the software.

Not sure where you are located, if you email me at jrwwlandy@yahoo.com.au and give me your contact details, I maybe able to call you and suggest a few tthings.

Regards
John
