Mount it on a ' Z' bracket (from Tricky Dicky)..
Goes on the fender bolts where the bonnet closes..

maybe just a bracket off your bumperbar.either that or attach a bracket up the back between the rear off the cab and the canopy, just remember to run an earth lead to the chassis of the vehicle.cheers.

If you don't want a permanent bracket, you could get a magnetic roof mount.

After I have you have read this, you will be as confused as I am !
I have read up on what constitutes a ground plane, have realized that the middle of the roof, with a small $20-$30, rubber "dick" aerial gives brilliant reception.
I have had permanent problems ( mainly earthing ) with my bull bar mounting system.
Solid enuf, but because everything is painted and anodized, I have had to run earth straps everywhere, to stop crackling, and to get decent range out of my UHF raidio.
Maybe I am onto something ,,, maybe not !
Cheers
Bucky

Why does everyone think you have to have a bull bar if you want to put antennas on your 4X4?
