A most adventurous 4WD short-cut for those travelling from the west to Coober Pedy & the Alice. Excellent views & plenty of wildlife, featuring Goog's Lake & Mt. Finke. No dogs permitted.

We are doing Googs Track in August. Does anyone know whether its worth going the 100k out to Jellabina Rocks, & what the track is like.

I'm not going to answer your question for you as I'd never heard of Jellabina Rocks and having checked out the Hema maps, the track cuts out after 19 km. Googs is a great run. Could you make sure that if you do complete the trek out there, whack some feedback on the forum here for the the others who may want to follow in your wake. Enjoy the trip. I'm sure someone here on the forum will have been out there.

I'm going at the start of August. I am thinking that the track is not on the Hema Map as they haven't actually surveyed it. But, I've read in a couple of spots that it is 100k out there, so I'm trying to find out is there a proper track & whether the rocks are worth the journey.

Mick,

The only map I can find is a Westprint that I have purchased from this site. The map is pretty good, has spots and way points on it.

There is no mention of Yellibinna Rocks.
