I was looking at the Tyre Dog TPMS at the TJM stand at the Caravan and Camping show this week end. According to TJM there is a 6 wheel version coming soon but no price yet. Derek Bester sells a Jet brand version with 6 sensors, but he is away for a couple of weeks and is out of stock so no price on his web site. I would like to know how much they are. Has anyone fitted the Jet or Tyre Dog unit and can comment on their ease of use and durability. I have split rims and tubes so cannot use most other brands as they are for tubeless tyres only.

I emailed the suppliers of Tyre Dog and the 6 wheel version is going to be about $800.

I've tried the Jette brand on my caravan. Every now and then the signal was lost but that didn't bother me.

However the low pressure setting is a predetermined percentage of the full setting. I would rather be able to select an actual psi for the low warning.

cheers

I'm glad I ain't too scared to be lazy

I have the TPMS fitted to my Disco 3. They have a locking nut which does not lock and you can still screw the sensors off. Also the small washer and O ring stopped the air hose in the service station fitting properly. So I have taken off the O ring, washer and locking nut and they work fine now. Also show the tyre temperature, which is handy.

Mike,

Have a look at the unit sold by these guys http://zartronix.com/store

With this unit you can change modes for when you have trailier/camper on or not.

Extra sensors available as well.

I have one and am very impressed with the unit.
