We’re heading up into Mungkan Kandju National Park in July for a couple of weeks and I was after some tips on where to camp in the park. I’ve searched the net, and apart from the epa website, there is not a lot of info out there, which is suprising since it is the third largest national park in QLD. We will be taking a 3.9m tinny in and would like to camp at a few sites where there is good access to the water and decent fishing. I’ve heard the Coen River campsites (1 & 2) are good and also the 10 mile Junction. Is it also worth heading into the far western side of the park on the Archer River bend? We will be towing camper trailers as well so any info on road conditions would be great!

Stiphodon,

Agree there is bugger all info apart from that website. They don't even have a map of the park on the web yet.

I'd be interested in hearing how you went once you return especially anything regarding Langi Station (old family property).

I'll post a trip report when I return. The only other info I could find on the net was on the overlander site Site Link
We will check out Langi Lagoon on the way, I take it this must be in the area where Langi Station once was?
Looking forward to wetting a line up there. I spoke to the ranger yesterday, and he said that the barra and saratoga are biting well

Yeah, there's supposed to be an old outstation there somewhere as well.

Have a great time and be careful of those overgrown skinks in the lagoon :)))
