Border Track Feedback

We have just returned from a week's holiday on the Border Track. We started at Customs House and finished up at the end of the one way section just short of Red Bluff. We found the top portion of the track a lot more fun and interesting than the one way section. Although the last hill on the one way section was fun. We towed a Flinders Ranges off road camper all the way along the track accept for the one way section where we camped at Pine Hut Soak for three nights. This is a fantastic camp ground for anyone wanting to do the Border Track with plenty of room and toilet. The track it self was very easy going and with tyre pressures dropped to around 25 psi we had no problems getting over the dunes even with a fully loaded 80 series and camper trailer. Would recommend anyone having a go at the track as it was enjoyable and a good training ground for the Simpson, just a lot more trees...

No the park ranges have blocked off alot of the fun stuff such as those holes. However you can see that the areas they have blocked off probably need a rest for awile to re-grow. We were looking forward to having a play but it wasn't too be. All in all it was a great family trip and the kids loved it, particulary all the wildlife and sand. I'm still finding sand now after a two weeks back.
