Hi all,
I am looking to travel to
Mungo National Park via
Balranald, can anyone tell me if the road is open. Will be leaving on Sunday 15/06/2008.

Alex we haven't been to Mungo for eighteen months but the Information Centre at
Balranald makes that information available each day but is sometimes unreliable - bad communications between offices. We were turned away two years ago because of road closures at 10am when the roads had been open from 9am. We travelled back to
Hay where we got the the OK from their Information Centre. Maybe a one-off issue.
More reliable information is available from NPWS at Buronga.
