Gday,

Oohh $hiit!!!
Here we go again!
Last time someone said that there was a bloody big argument!

Mate.....if you can control your dogs and they are no hassal to you or anyone else....just take them.
I would.................

And others are taking their's.
Cheers

Personally, I don't care if the dog hassles their owner, just as long as they don't hassle ME.

Laura, it is quite simple, if "Sir Kev" can be controlled, & I believe he will be making his presence known, then keeping a couple or three pups in order surely would be very easy in comparison?? LOL & cheers.

It is good to see that you cockroaches are learning manners Barry, Yes Sir Kev is correct ;))

As for me being controlled well that's a big call (a bit like NSW winning game three he he)

Go The MAROONS

Cheers Sir Kev

the only way kev s going to be kept in line is if sam shortens the chain on him and doesnt let him move an inch..then again...he'll still figure out a way to show us he's there!!!

Hi Laura

Dogs are allowed on the Innamincka Town Common, where we are having the Gathering.

Dogs are not allowed in National Park areas so this has to be taken into consideration if one wants to go National Parking.

Our dog travels everywhere with us and will be there.

Cheers

in relation to "Dogs are not allowed in National Park areas" this is not totally true. as long as you stay on the road, they cant touch you! you will have to find out the exact distance, but the local (state) road authority (vicroads, rta, etc....) owns the road and a certain amount of area on each side of the road. if you are driving through, they cant touch you, if you stay on the road. if you camp, you will have to camp right beside the road (this is why i say find out what your local authority owns, as i believe in one state they own approx 5-10 metres either side of the road) easily enough room to camp on!

Yes, possible. I decided not to go there as it was hard going where we were and the punctures started flowing...lol

Laura several places of interest around & on the way to Innamincka are in reserves or Parks where dogs are obviously not allowed. If you want to visit these locations you'll either have to get someone to babysit the dog or cross them off your destination list.
If your dog is very well behaved around others then there's no reason not to take the pup.

We are bringing our dog with us, but as far as animals go I might be a bigger problem then her hahahahaha....at 96 years old I don't think she is going to be much of nuisance to anyone. So Lara tell your sister to bring hers other wise they may miss out on a great adventure.

Fair enough, we have two Labs that go away heaps with us as we do retrieving about 10 times a year but when we go away 4X4ing we put them into boarding, it costs us $25.00 a night for two dogs.

We would love to take our dogs 4X4ing with us but we find it's to much work and we don't enjoy our selves as much.

What sort of dogs are they?

Now Al do you have children and do you leave them at home when you go away. Some people pets are their children like ours as we are not able to have the other so think before typing.

why would you assume that "people who have dogs think they have the right to inflict them other people."....?????

being a little harsh I think mate....
