I came across this simply by accident, thought I had broken it at first. I have a 95 series Grande VX and it has the two piece console (2 lids). With the top lid, if you lift it from behind and upwards it hinges forward which in turn brings the armrest closer to the front which I find more comfortable and there are 2 cup holders which you just lift up. Now I have looked through the Toyota owners manual and its not in there. Not sure if its on all models but I have since told my mate who has a 02 GXL and its in his too. Hope this helps some one out who has kids in the back but could never find the cup holders. Regards Steve M

LOL Col, I only found it cause I had the sh*ts and threw some thing in the back and it hit the console lid and it pushed it up, wife's gone good on ya now you've done it di#khead whats that going to cost. Thats when I came across it, thank god it didnt break would never have heard the end of it LOL. But guess who flicks it forward now when ever SHE drives. (have to be nice so she will still hand over the cash for the locker) WOW 25k thats nothing, wont ask how much. Glad to see you got a donor. Like Yourself Im hanging to see the final product should be brilliant. Just need Toyo and Nissan to join together and would have the best off road vehicle around, nissan tough suspension and wheel travel with Toyota grunt and reliability to match LOL. Regards Steve M Cany wait to see some pics as you go along with the build up.

Steve, you will have to control that temper pal, He He.

Would she call you that (di#khead)? Mate you need to set her straight before it gets totally out of hand. LOL

And while your at it Steve TELL her, you ARE getting the locker, and she will have to live with it. Christ who needs S3X anyway?

Cost of the motor assy is nothing compared to the end figure but $11500 for the whole thing inc ECU and harness etc. not bad considering that a re con Chevy V8 diesel costs $10000 for just the engine without anything else, the full V8 kit was going to be $18000 plus making all the other crap I would need & modify, the total V8 option was going to be around $26-27000 this option will end up around $20-23000 and very low KM as compared to the V8's ??????? km.

Good luck with the marital advice pal.
Colin.
