Hi all - we are planning to head off for
Darwin at the beginning of August to see the kids. It's been 5 years since we last went, and we're wondering if things have changed much - definitely the fue prices! We have a 13 ft van towed by a Falcon (dedicated gas), and would like to hear from anyone with a similar rig who has either just come back or is still on the road. Happy travelling!

lol Jenni - your a real person, rather than a plated-up poser....
to answer your question properly - from a genuine off-road traveler....
generally- everything has changed since camps3 and the developers started buying up the Caravan Parks
specifically- things may not have changed that much where you are going...
i find the best bet is the local information centres...

Hi Robertthebruce :-) - of course I'm a real person - but I take your point (I think, not knowing the lingo). Now, tell me, what the heck is camps3 and tell me abt the developers buying up the caravan parks .... ???

Thanks for your reply - I guess we're mostly interested in the availability of LPG, seeing the Falcon is dedicated gas. We've done it before (ie from
Melbourne, along the Murray, bypassed
Adelaide and up the Stuart), but as I say that was 5 years ago. Logic tells me there should be a greater availablity, not less, but I'd like to hear from someone 'on
the spot' so to speak. Thanks for your interest. Cheers - Jennie
