Good photo's Willem. See you hadn't forgotten. Very hard to follow your journey on the Hema maps. Will have to pull out the Natmap 250K. Sounds like a great trip was had by all.

Cheers. Mick

Yes it was a good trip. It is hard to explain where we went apart from North from Mt Webb off the gary Junction Rd, NE to Lake Mackay, NW towards Yagga Yagga then due east towards the Lakes and then north again in a zig zag fashion..lol....then West to Balgo and then SE to Alice.

Are you still dropping in on your way past because I will be out of town from 21st to 28th. MM me your route maybe we can catch up somewhere

Great trip report, thanks. Very interesting. But the photos could have included links to "full size" them ?

G'day Footy

The program I use in my Content Management System does not cater for a link to full size. Its difficult enough to understand what I am doing in the first place. I got about half way through uploading the pics, hit the wrong button and had to start from scratch again.

Hi Marion

Yes I would like to be able to stay out there. Every year I promise myself I will disappear for the whole of winter but here I am with the reverse cycle aircond blowing warm air over me in my study keeping myself amused on the www. I would rather be somewhere in the sub tropics.

Hi Willem -

Met you in Peterborough 2 years ago - had EO wheel cover!
Anyway, your photos are great - did a similar trip on a tag along last year out to Sandy Blight Junction then up to the Gary Junction Road and into NoMan's land!! Exciting and wonderful countryside, extremely challenging too!. Enjoyed your diary report. Thanks

Hi Jinki and Harry

Yes I remember.

Were you part of the group with the Landcruiser Club of Victoria? They were in and around that area last year.

How dare you suggest we drive a Land Cruiser!!!! Nothing but a Patrol of course!!!

Met you in Peterborough main street in May 2006!! you spotted our EO wheel cover, also spotted your former 4wd drive now at Warrawinna at Cooks Motors, Copley back in May. Were on our way back from Simpson Desert trip. Take care Jinki

Willem, would love to come along on one of your adventures, you know that.
Very cold here - watery sun, high cloud, 8 min and didn't get above 12 inside or outside until I put the heater on (inside). Light southerly wind goes through not around. Got to 17 - nice if you can work out of the wind.
Ian has shed door closed because of the wind - he's trying to weld the bathroom together down there. Dogs are cuddled together on the bed and Buster refuses to go out at all.
Jinki and Harry - I remember you said you were off to France and Italy - have a wonderful time and indulge in some delicious wine and fresh summery foods. Tony & Brenda will be here again in July. Talk to you when you return to Australia again.

Thanks for the report Willem and photos. Gave my wife a glimps of what I may be looking at in a fortnights time when I and others follow Frank Hanns Route.

I know somewhat South of your trip but similar terrain, I suspect.

Hi Dunc

Yes, that route is on my agenda for a future trip to the west. It may be a tad eaier though as it does follow a track but how overgrown the track is, is another question :-)

Enjoy
