Hi guys,

I am new to 4wding. Can somone tell me more about Simex tyres. Are they better than GoodYear MTR ? I am in Vic so lots of mud driving. I am looking into getting a set of Jungle TK 2, how much is 33" and 35" around?

If I drive them onroad for 20K everyday, do they last long?

Thanks in advance

Had a set of ats, only trouble I had was they were hard to balance. I was glad to get out of them and into a set of Kumhos.
Cheers Pete

G'day, Simex are a very good tyre for mud etc, on road, not the best. You should really get two sets of tyres and wheels if you can afford it, one set for the mud etc, one for the bitumen. Mates are giving good reports of Silverstone tyres, much cheaper than Simex. Another good all rounder is the Maxxis range, good on road, good off road. Horses for course. If you are any where near Cranbourne, call in and chat to Greg at Smithies Outback Gear, 30 Copper Crt Cranbourne, 03 59954325, he is happy to chat about the merits of different tyres. John

PS, no affiliation with Greg, just a mate.......

had a set of simex centipede mt's on my gq. lasted less than 12 months under 20000k's . wore uneven was impossible to keep balanced would not recommend. just put it down to poor quality tyre. tyre did not do a lot of hard work.
just my 2 cents worth
