You need to be careful asking this type of question. One persons "very bad" is some one elses "good". Two years ago we drove along the loop road. Several people told us it was very rough and not to go. We drove along it at 80km/hr waiting for the bad bit but never came to it. As it is not possible to grade the whole road over night we know it had not been graded. It was in much better condition than the roads we had been recently travelling on. Yes it had some large rocks and a few corregations, but I considered it to be a formed dirt road in reasonable condition. You needed to pay attention but that was it. In the end, as long as the road is open, drive to the conditions and your experience. Not much else matters. If people tell you about specific problems, fine, watch out for them. If it turns out to be really rough, you will end up going slowly or turning back. If you listen too much to track talk you will never go anywhere.

Yes good point Steve, think we will put it in our plans and try to get more info when we're out there.
