why is the nsw trip gathering post blocked?????

Yep, I have often wondered the same thing, I don't have a problem with it, but have often wondered why. I had a look at post 58888, but still am no the wiser?

Fred got his date wrong!!!!! he posted it for 10 Feb 2008 so the posting IS in "PAST TRIPS & GATHERINGS" as we are now in June 2008.

Nope Colin,
I entered 2/10/2008 but it came out as 10/2/2008. I sent a not to EO and they are having a look.
I though I might have been a dummy and tried twice but I selected the date right of the calendar. hard to go wrong there.

Nothing stops you from starting a new post about the particular Gathering

My some people are tempermental, you gunna chuck away your
membership because you don't understand how the system works??
Just because its locked does not mean its broke or something personal.
The thread is automatically locked for posts but if you look at the thread it has the link to the trip register and all the details.
Its set up like that to allow people to add or remove their names for the trip as you can't edit threads on the
forum.

It IS THERE, but it's in archives because it has a date of 10 Feb 2008 which means it's OVER and GONE.

I do agree. Intrest for a gathering would be more visable and intrest maintained if they wernt locked and if you are viewing recent posts it would remain visable on page 1.
Still as said and a recently posted WA gathering has done it. theres nothing to stop an additional thread being created and preperation talk in that

Davoe, in case you hadn't looked, all events up to August 08 ARE visible on Page 1. You just needed to have hovvered the mouse cursor over EVENTS. Birthdays are also visible then too. Member - Geoff O (Vic) today for instance
