I'm currently looking at new rubber for my GQ nissan and would like some feedback from anyone who has fitted the new Super Swamper LTB tyres. Any comments would be appreciated.

Hope the do-gooders don't jump on you for this one, some people can't accept that some of us like to modify our trucks.

"absolute stupidity" was a comment i remember about my suspension. LOL

There are other forums if no response here.

Kev,

I rememeber that "absoloute stupidity" bloke, seems as thogh he has toned down now though!!

Your money, your car, your life. Do what pleases you, but show respect for others. At the end of the day though, there's not enough time in life to be worrying over all those wet blankets.

My thought' on tyres, make sure you check out the Simex extreme trekker 'peeds. There tough, cheap, and give you bucket loads of traction, and alot of the competition front runners appear to be using them.

Have fun shopping!!

Tristjo.

Never used them, but check to see if they are road legal, as most crossply SS are not. If this is a problem, look at the Pro comp Claws as an alternative.

Brilliant.

Not much better offroad, and unlike Xterrains, Boggers, Claws, and a few others, they have lateral Grip. EG sliding sideways.

bleep ful on the road, wear out really fast, and arent speedrated, so are illegal on the road. So they are really only a weekend tire.

Wouldn't it be good if you could afford a second set for weekend use !

Don't know what i would choose, maybe the boggers.

Nope, swampers anyday.

Boggers, as soon as you hit a greasy hill thats off camber, or sideways, you slide and have to pray it comes back, thats how it was put to me by Cheezy..

He has a new 4wd accessory place in Bayswater, adn is one of the most approchable dudes there are.

He fitted my incab kit while I rebuilt his PC for him at his place.

The Mav... Let me say you wont recognise it next time you see it.. Its still the 383 Chev with Auto, but now has twin transfer cases, and Coil overs, and tube bum end. 42 Swampers last time I saw it, but I think they have gone in favor of some XXXXXX XXXX's :)~

Hi mick christie here swampers are pretty good we run 39.5'', some people run boggers on the rear but more for mud events, as for the steer tyres, your better off with the swampers.
Call ACE tyres in smithfield and talk to Peter Antunac, he should be able 2 help you out.
