Members trips/gatherings problem

Howdy to all those computer savy members.
Organising a gathering for next month, Ive put all the information on the 'New trips/gatherings' in the members area but when I hit the Submit button the page shows a 'Application Error' message then a whole pile of gibberish that looks like computer jargon.
Now Im one of those one finger key board jockeys where if I need to type more than two sentences, I have to pack a cut lunch. After three tries, Im starting to think it would be quicker to ring everyone.....hehehehe.
What am I doing wrong ?

Have you alerted the problem with David??
With all the updates he has done lately he is bound to have missed something ;)
