I put up a post a few weeks ago re: as above..
Just done
mine so here's some tips:
Make sure the join between the wheel centre & rim are clean & dry. I used an old toothbrush to get the dirt out.
Put the
wheels in the sun to get a bit of warmth into them.
You only need a 75g tube of silicone- not the big cartridge.(I used about 1/2 a tube).
If it's a cool day- dunk the tube in warm
water for 15 mins.- this'll make the silicone run easier.
Cut the applicator for about a 1/8 hole at 45 degs.
Walk around the wheel while applying the silicone into the groove.
Force it in and shape it with a damp finger.
Clean up with a damp Chux before the stuff cures..
Give it 24 hrs to cure- and there ya go.
For the Black Wheel brigade- you can get Black silicone...

Watched a glazier many years ago at work doing the gaps in glass partitions. He dunked his finger in metho before each swipe at the silicone to get a better finish on his bead and so it didn't stick to his fingers.
