I don't know if anyone has seen this old photo or not. I stumbled on it while looking for info on Centurion tanks. It shows the Army taking a Centurion out to the atomic test site at Emu in 1953.
Whenever the truck got stuck in the sand they would take the
tank off the trailer and use it to pull the truck out. It was then a simple matter to put in back on the trailer and drive on to the next bog and do it all over again.
Just as
well it worked. Could you imaging moving all of that with a winch?
It would be interesting to see what they did with tyre pressures out there on a thing that size with a 52 ton
tank on it.

Definitely Peter, just sit it on a trailer behind your 4b and it will get you out of anywhere. You could even fill in river crossings that are too deep.

Well Len Beadell used his bulldozer to tow his grader about 800ks and I dare say the Army would have used the
tank to tow the truck had it thrown the towell in so that thing should tow your ute nicely.
You may need to fit rubber blocked tracks though like the Army's old armoured personel carriers. That should keep you out of gaol for sealed road damage.
You might also have to allow more time for your holidays but think of the money you will save with no speeding fines!

The rig is a Diamond T 50 ton
Tank Transporter manufactured by the US. The tractor had a 14.5 litre engine producing 150 KW first manufacted in 1940.
It must have had some serious torque and low gearing.
