Thank you everyone for jumping in and adding your names to this petition.
2207 now.
Thank you Sir Kev for the live link, I didn't know how to do that.
I seldom get annoyed enough to push stuff this much but this time I also passed the letter on to my entire address book, first time I ever tried to send a group mail so bet I managed to mangle that job as
well ! I know some folks got it twice.
Anyway if any of you would also pass it along we who live or play in the bush and love it must hopefully be able to make a difference.
I'm going to try to get it in to our local paper with the petition vote site so if any of you were able to try and do that same sort of thing, letters to the editor etc anything at all as it will all help !
We just need to get the word out about it, people don't know so can't
sign it.
I think even cat loves may
sign it as bottom line is there are a mass of feral cats and they sure as hell don't need to be twice the size. May take years for these to end up in the scrub but I take bets it WILL happen in time.
In case anyone missed the last post, here are the details again.
thanks, Anne

Here's a good place to start if you want to tell the Federal Minister for Environment, Peter Garrett, that you don't want Savannah Cats in Australia:

Missed the petition. Feral cats are a problem in most areas and so are lots of other 'introduced species'.
How about a petition to get rid of tourists that leave their rubbish and sh&t all over the place, cut fences, leave gates open or worse still close gates meant to be left open, contaminate stock
water, drive on closed/wet roads casuing huge amounts of damage and costs, cut standing timber, shoot-up road signs, trespass, steal anything that is not concreted into the ground, transport grog and drugs into prohibited areas and so on and on.
Won't be that long before legislation will start to close off many areas in the outback due to damage being caused by irresponsible travellers with a complete lack of sensitivity toward the enviroment. What ever happend to 'tread lightly' leave only footprints?

well under Labour we will see at least 11% intrest and $2.50 - $3 pl of fuel and increasing unemployment apart from mining, that will take care of some of it I hope.
have fun
