G`day,
Just thought I would remind those going to the Tribal Meeting at
Innamincka of the "Fruit fly Exclusion Zone".
I had intended to take fresh fruit and vegetables from home but having just remembered about the restrictions, and the heavy fine for breaking them, I will now buy them at
Mildura while on my way.
It`s getting closer, Yippeeeee.
Scrubcat.

Woolies, the " Fresh food People" will have all you need, they are opposite the Innaminka pub, right next door to K mart. Cheers.

I hope no one going to
Innamincka believes you.
But then again, it would be funny watching them walk up and down the main street searching for the shops among all the hi-rise apartments.
Cheers.

Sorry I should have added a bit more.
Yep it would only affect those travelling through SW of NSW, E of SA, Murray Valley &
Mildura areas of VIC. Some towns on the major
routes that are inside the zone are
Renmark,
Mildura,
Broken Hill,
Robinvale,
Hay, Deniliquin,
Swan Hill,
Echuca, Shepparton and there is more.

Hello from Robin,
Some further information on carrying and/or purchase of fruit and vegetables from someone who lives in the Greater Sunraysia Pest Free Area - it stretches along the Darling and Murray Rivers from
Pooncarie in NSW to Kerang in Victoria -
1) If purchasing fruit and vegetables within the area from supermarkets and greengrocers, ask for certification to allow any remaining pest-free produce back into or through the area.
2) Department of Primary Industries Vic. provides a windscreen sticker and a certificate to enable the purchase and entry of certified fruit from outside the pest-free area. For further details, visit: www.pestfreearea.com.au or Freecall 136 186.
Have a great trip !
Robin
