Hey All,

Looking at joining a 4WD club (preferably based south of the river) and was wondering what WA based members experiences have been.

Cheers Simon

Simon

Most clubs encourage/require prospective members to have a couple of visits and attend a trip or two.

This way both you and the club get to know if there is a common attraction. The only problem is that it takes a fair amount of time if you have a few clubs you're considering.

That said, my experience with the Armadale and Toyota clubs, both in the south were positive.

This following is the link to the Association website where you can find affiliated clubs.

Hiya Simon, See you have a Patrol. I've recently joined the Western Patrol Club and have thoroughly enjoyed the couple of trips I've been on already. There is a meeting on tomorrow night (Wednesday 25th June 2008 at 7PM) at the Rivervale Community Centre if you would like to come along and see what you think. For more details go to Western Patrol Club Members are from all over Perth including country areas as well and are an easy going bunch of like-minded people. Cheers, Darren

No it isnt. I have a Patrol and have been to a couple of TLCWA meetings and one trip so far. Will be going to the meeting this Thursday and most likely joining the club.

Nice bunch of people and yes mostly Toyotas, but there are a couple of Patrols and other vehicles in the club as well.

Cheers

Richard

Hey thanks,

Like I said I was just curious. I think it would be good to encourage my Husband to become a member of one. Since he loves his Cruizer Ute well the Toyota club is the most logical choice. But if we were to head out on trips as a family (2 anklebiters) we'd have to take the Forester, or take both.

Alan, obviously he must now enjoy some Nissan jokes! He's probably the type to give it back as well as he receives too.

I guess when you join a club you probably end up with a heap of mates and in the end it doesn't matter what you're driving as long as they can pay you out from time to time.

I guess in the end it's all about fun doing what you enjoy.

I think in the end it is a matter of every one understanding it is not serious, it is just stirring.

Hi Simon,

As Darren stated the Western Patrol Club looks like a great club, I have been on their last 2 trips and had a terrific time very friendly helpful people.
Going to the meeting tomorrow to hand my membership application in.
