Easey calculation to keep in your car is

Number of ltrs divided by number of km X 100= ltrs per 100km

hi bundy boy
multiply the amount of fuel by 100 then divide the result by the kilometeres driven the answer is the liters per 100 kilometers consumption rate.
e.g. 43.8 litres used, 476.3 klm driven;43.8 times 100 =9.2 liters per 100 km _476.3__
hope this helps bill

Does anyone remember those fabulous little slide out cardboard
fuel calculators that were around yonks ago ?. Cardboard thing
about the size of a business envelope that would tell you all you
wanted...just adjust on one figure & automatically gave the
answer.Mine finally carked it & fell to bits. May have been put
out by fuel companies. I can do it with a calculator, but these
were sooo simple.....oldbaz.

CASTROL put out a calculator in the form of a slide rule very handy size and easy to use.Converts everything Fuel,Speed ,Distance, pressure, power.
I had one in 2005 which I had lost but the local agent has just given me a new one.
