Installed VMS System today sure looks the goods hope it proves itself in the next few months when we are up on the Gibb River Road. Now have to learn OziExplorer. I don't think it is as easy as Trackranger but I will have fun trying.

Saw Member - Crazies VMS last week and was impressed. I have Toyota's own mapping and it is handicapped in comparison. The Ozi maps that you can load there are the same as Ozi ones Crow, but I guess there is more capability to manipulate them with Ozi. The Bluetooth phone interface looked too easy too.

The ability to have MP3s in some areas against CDs can be good but we are news hounds rather than music heads. Probably comes from too many open tractor exhausts over the years providing me with more than a modicum of industrial deafness. Can't follow lyrics or understand voice with background noise, even in the form of music

I'm fairly deaf also, so haven't followed lyrics etc for years !!! Just listen to the music.....who cares what they say.....I think they only make up words to fit in with the tune !!

My only problem is I like it loud and the missus likes it soft !!!

I put one in my new LC200 and so far am very happy with it. Haven't worked out how to use OziExplorer yet and will have to get some lessons from GPSOz, who I bought it from.

One of the things I like is that it has 3 camera inputs and I am putting a camera on the back of the van so I can see who is tailgaitng me on the "grey nomad' trip....

As for cost, count on a bit under $3000 with rear view camera and installation.

Excuse my ignorance, but what are UTM co ordinates??

UTM makes it easier (A LOT EASIER) to plot your position on paper maps than using minutes, degrees etc
