We are leaving to do the Gibb River Road in 9 days time taking two weeks to get there.
Where would be the best place to go look /seek the latest river heights for the Pentecoste River plus what the latest conditions are on the road, like has it been graded yet.
We are leaving the caravan at Kununurra and tenting it as we are also going in to the Bungle Bungles.
This will be our second trip to the Kimberly's the first one we only did a bit on each end as we had a all wheel drive then now we have the four wheel drive. It is a beautiful piece of Australia.

Thanks Graeme,
it was a case of "couldnt see for looking"
and I guess my best bet would be when I get up there the Tourist centre would have the latest.

From memory El Questro had road and river height info as well.

This photo of the Pentecost was taken at this time last year.

Not denigrating the good people at the various offices that gather and post official roads info, BUT over time I have observed that the latest (and commonly most accurate) info can be gained from phoning a local small business in the region. Anne or Jo at Drysdale River Station for example.........or other tourism orientated stations along the Gibb.

Pentecost will be no more then 500mm high. No need for a snorkel or anything like that. Any car will get through, if little worried just bang it in 4wd. Piece of cake though.
