So the crew are at Well 46 tonight after a few days of vehicle repairs along the way...

At Well 33 they had caught up their lost day from the rain, but by Well 41, a broken fuel tank bracket put them behind again ~ luckily a few hours welding got them underway.

Further along, a Roof Rack bracket succumbed to metal fatigue and Wayne transfered all of the gear to his own truck to lighten the load.

At Well 36 they came across a convoy of 9 from Batthurst

Yesterday they were at Well 45 but this morning another fuel tank bracket broke. Same place, same sort of vehicle.

So a quick scavenge for some steel around the bush, heated in the fire to bend it into shape ~ with a few holes drilled ~ they were on their way again, managing to fix the Roof Rack at the same time.

Luckily there have been no flat tyres...

A few pieces of information that may be useful.

Fuel at Well 33 Community = Diesel $3 per litre, Petrol $3.20 per litre.

For those wanting to know if there is any water in the wells?

Well 36 has some (beware of the resident brown snake who apparently is angry at the moment after getting his tail caught in the lid).

Well 33 is overflowing

Well 23 (Georgia Bore) also has water.

Daytime temperature has been about 24 deg. Nights and morning are 2 deg, but there is no dew or moisture in the air and it's perfect sleeping under the stars.

Tonight they are at Well 46 and with the delays today, they've had to postpone their wet T-shirt competition until another night (poor thing!!).

They hope to make Well 50 by tomorrow night with a push through on Saturday for fuel.

Waynes wife, good to read they were able to repair the broken items on the vehicles without to much of a delay & the weather sounds like a little cool but perfect.

I wonder if they vehicle breaking the brackets was a Prado? Same thing happened to people we know on that track twice in seperate trips. A bit of fencing wire got them going again and repaired under warranty each time when they got home.
