Good afternoon,
I am aware of the 1080 bait concerns and not taking the mutt into national parks etc.
The question is --how viable is it to take the mini foxy with us on the upcoming Simpson Desert trip?
My daughter is understanding if we cannot take Spike with us but it would make life easier for us if she had a companion with her.
He has traveled with us before on our Cameron Corner, Birdsville trip a few years ago.
Your thoughts please.
William

Just checking to see if I've got your question right. You know it's against the law to take a dog across the Simpson but you just want to know if you are likely to get away with it ? ;-))
Cheers Craig.............

You can't cross the Simpson without going through National Parks so it follows that you can't cross the Simpson with the mutt.

Sh***********************t,
I knew that you can not take a dog across the Simpson.
Just testing to see if every one was paying attention.

I feel a bloody goose, I didnt know you couldnt.
I tried a search on "dogs and Simpson Desert" but came up with no response.

Sorry every one, now trying to find a big hole.
William.

William, heed this mate...

Stupid questions are far easier to tolerate than stupid mistakes.

You've not asked one anyways.

hate to be the boring one with some stats but here it goes.

Parvo is a very bad disease that dogs carry (one of many). This disease can sit in the ground for years without 'dying'. Bringing outside diseases into a national park could/would desimate the wild life.

I too am a dog owner (kelpie). Actually my wife only complained last night that I give the dog more attention than her. I miss my dog alot when I go away but the alternative is alot worse.
