We have two remotes. One of them does not unlock (switch inside must be faulty) GM dealer quoted $500 for part only - Does anyone have any alternative solutions - Apart from the obvious - Use the key.
Cheers

Got a new remote part of our Berlina key for $95 included introducing it to the car via a computer hookup.
Was done by the Holden Dealer in Caboolture Queensland

Forgot to say reason it wouldnt work was because a $2 battery went flat in it. When I get time I will solder a new battery in and see if it works. May be worth a look in your case if you know someone handy with that sort of stuff.
You need to split the case ( the black part) carefully. It is just a small circuit board with a 3v Toshiba lithium battery soldered to it.
Not rocket science by any means despite Holden saying you couldnt get the case apart.
best of luck

Like all the others, ensure battery is working, i that fails, go to an ato parky and they should be able to give you the details of a remote reseller and code, who may not even replace as if i is only a swich they may be able to repair and replace. I had one done for our magna and it was about $25 to replace the switch, new battery and make sure it worked.r. As stated previously, alot cheaper than the genuine lot.

If it isn't the battery, pull it apart & clean the PCB under the switch pad with contact cleaner or iso-propyl alcohol.
