Hi Peter
If you havn't already looked, have a browse through the
forum at
http://www.pajeroclub.com.au/
I have a 2002 3.5 no problems at 100k other than I am very surprised at the hard ride. On the positive side it doesn't seem to sag at all when reasonably loaded.
Good luck with it.
Cheers Roy

if you plan on towing or doing a bit of hard four wheel driving check the half shafts . they have a habit of popping out and draining the dif oil .

And Zacc, thanks, no heavy off road but towing a camper trailer.

What were you towing and what consumption were you getting? Haven't done a trip average yet, but we just did 18,000km towing a
Kimberley Kamper, and consumption was anything between 18.5L and 26L per 100km. I think the average will come out to about 21l/100km - that's the Limited Edition version, which would have been about 1500kg loaded.
