Well it’s gone, After much debating in my head last night on what to do it was a hard decision, but i new it was time for it to Go.

The Big Green Ford Rumbled out of the garage for the last time at 7:45am, to be traded in for a Table Top Hilux, a bloody TOYOTA!!!

After 4 years of ownership and 90,0000km traveled I was Sad to see it go despite there rep mine has been a fantastic car and I just loved driving it, I feel a little empty now with out it. The Hilux is in the driveway now but it just don’t have the same character.

Had it in the Paper for almost 2 weeks with out a phone call, 5 minutes after I traded it I got 2 calls from young blokes asking if I still had it (Couldn’t believe it!!) Pointed em in the direction of the dealership with a “if ya had called me 15 minutes ago”.

I will be keeping a keen eye out for it around the streets of Perth, and I hope it serves the new owners as well as it served me.

Cheers.

Hi Exploder

My wife has a Exploder with 70ks on the clock, it will be 6 years old in
September, she uses it as a Shopping Trolley, I was going to trade it
in on a new Patrol, but decided not to trade it, I will keep it as a
spare work vehicle for the business, I use it to reverse the caravan up
a fairly steep incline where we live, its better than burning the clutch out in the Navara, the Exploder dosent miss a beat, we would get
bugger all for it as a trade in, I will just run it into the ground, you here stories about how bad they are, but I wonder some times how
much of it is fact, they got a bad rep when the Firestone Tyres
started exploding in the U S A, and caused lots of fatalities.

Cheers

yeah I got a better trade than what i was expecting but still it was nothing Flash. Mine was a 97 with some good gear on it but they just don't hold there value and with the slump in 4WD sales ya ither keep it or cut a loss selling it.

Me i needed a Ute for my Dirt bikes and something to bash around the Bush in, enter Hilux.

I got the XR6 Turbo as my nice car, Hilux as my Bush car

Will still miss the Explorer but.

Cheers.
