Hi to all

I am thinking of towing my ft Jayco expanda caravan up to and along the surf side at Fraser Island. I am going to travel at dead low tide and camp on the beach before Indian Head .We have camped at Freshwater without to many hassles and thought we would go to Fraser for a change . Is this easy enough to do or am i asking for trouble.

Hey Markcas

You will have no worries and you are on the right track. Hit the barge and Hook Pt about an hour before low, let your tyres down and you will have no probs. Bit of swell has recently carved away a bit of beach so entry into some ocean front camps a bit steep. Few creeks flowing hard on the bottom of the island so cross them low near the surfs edge. Just make sure you time it so you get a clean run from the bitumen to the barge and that no numptee stops in fromt of you etc so you lose momentum.

Have a great one
