BFG AT USA OR JAPAN

I have had both the USA and the Japanese made BFG's. I found both to be extremely reliable and both to give good wear and value for money.

My last set were made in Japan, 265/70/16 on a Patrol and I got 112,000 kms from them. Previously on my Pajero I had the USA made tyres and got about 104,000 before replacing.

Personally I dont think you can go wrong with either. JMHO though :) I have now gone to Maxxis and wontr be going there again as I have found them too spongy on corners and quite skatey on gravel. Yes I save about $400 on a set of 4 and for my next set will definitely be going back to BFG's

Had BFG's (USA made) fitted about 3 months ago to our 100 series . It's the first time I've used BFG's. We have just returned from a trip to the Cape and found them really good. No noticeable wear, no punctures and no chipping etc. I guess time and Km's will tell how good they are.

I have bf's on the prado a/t's made in USA and had the same on hilux. Very happy with them obviously (buying twice). I didnt have LT's on the hilux where as I have on the prado and find a little bit firmer ride due to the strong side wall and they dont belly out as much when running at 18psi on the sand but no issues so far. Why spend all the big money on forigien brands when you can get ozzy made bridgestones for half the price and are more than capable for any task, i speak from experience with 6 vehicles on the same trip me with ossy tyres and being the only one who got no punctures, the trip was over 15.000 ks central QLD, SA, NT. On my $th set and am getting close to 100,000ks per set. Couldnt be happier, and they are fantastic in the wet. Col

I didn't even realize that they're made in two different places.

My other half tried Dick Cephek (Mickey T's) last time but he's going back to the BFG Mud Terrains. I've checked and the spare he has in the shed says made in USA, guess I better let he know so he can at least be aware of the fact now!
