Road condition to cape york

Hi to you all we are heading to
the TIP this Saturday 5th june from CQ and wondering what the roads condition are like we are travling with two other vehicles Thank you KERO

I guess you mean 5th July and i am not sure what CQ is....
Cape York road conditions at the moment are slight to moderate corrugations,,, not many bone rattlers...
Creek crossings are ALL LOW,,,, except for Bridge
Creek / Nolans Brook which is approx 1.2metres and quite do-able if you stay out of the wheel ruts in the
water..
Southern exit from Palm is a doozy at the moment..
May need to winch,,, but with lockers will be ok..

Oh,, if you are going via bypass roads only,,,,, then the corros are crap...

Hi K and B, you can type Palm
Creek into
Places and see the muddy exit for yourself. Also try posts 58149, 58368 and 58399 for more info. Keep your tyre pressures and speed down and you will have a smoother trip. I ran a Pathy at 26 psi all round towing a 1 tonne van with 70kmh being a more comfortable speed on some of the bypass. But going into
