Greetings on and all.
I have been advised that the road between Mt Magnet and Leinster via Sandstone is now a sealed road. I can't find any reference to it on the Main Roads WA site nor anywhere else that I've looked.

Can anyone verify that this road is sealed?

Also, I read that the Wiluna to Meekatharra road is undergoing "Sealing and Sheeting works 70km west of Wiluna". Has anyone driven these roads very recently? I would appreciate an update.

Thanks
Toolman

Yep sealed and about 20 spmething km east of Sandstone there is a rest stop overlooking a small gorge. If conditions are right he wind comes up the gorge and whilstles through the fence as if is playing a tune. I called it the Singing Fence stop. Lots of interesting stuff around Sandstone including London Bridge

Toolman

I drove the Meekatharra to Wiluna road on 1 June. It is mainly good gravel (though dusty) except for small sealed stretches near both towns. The sealing and sheeting works mentioned are not making a large impact on the overall road. The trip took us 2 hours 20 minutes, including a coffee stop and driving at speeds appropriate to the surface and not exceeding 100kph.

Hope that helps.
